Two Lovie Awards for Vinson mobile TV solution

Two Lovie Awards for Vinson mobile TV solution

The third annual Lovie Awards winners have been announced and Vinson proudly tops the Media Streaming Service: Tablet category with two awards! The mobile TV startup takes home both Silver and the People’s Lovie Award, leaving its competition – the BBC iPlayer – behind.

Vinson achieved great success at the third annual Lovie Awards, the sister to the world-famous Webby Awards. The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) has picked Vinson's work as one of the very best of the European web, and so did the online public.

Best in category

The next generation mobile TV solution Vinson received a Silver Lovie Award, the highest honor in the Media Streaming Service: Tablet category. Vinson also took home the People’s Lovie Award,  leaving the popular BBC iPlayer it competed with behind with Bronze.

With nearly 1,500 entries from over 30 European countries, and over 45,000 votes in the People’s Lovie, the third annual Lovie Awards is the biggest in its history and continues to be the leading European award honoring excellence on the Internet.

Michael Plein, CEO: "We're excited that our app is honored with two Lovie Awards, including being the people's choice. Considering that we took it up against the BBC iPlayer makes us even more proud. A big thank you to the jury and everyone that voted for us! We'll return the effort by working hard on great new features."

The Lovie Award winners will be celebrated at the special event on November 13 in London.
